User Instructions
- Gently position and roll two layers of orthopedic padding over the stockinette for protection. Do not roll the padding too tightly, as the padding ensures normal breathing of the skin.
- Wear a pair of surgical gloves to prevent the polyurethane to touch your skin, and open the VIAN Cast pouch properly.
- Immerse the roll in water (21~24c) and squeeze the roll 2-3 times to remove excess water*.
- Wrap the VIAN Cast around the injured parts with 2~3 layers, overlap the previous layer by one-half or two- thirds the width of the roll and maintain the proper tension.
- Shape the wrapped cast as necessary, make it smooth and rub the surface to achieve good contact between layers.
- Please note that the cure time is approximately 4 minutes so you should wrap the roll within this time, as 20 minutes later the cast reaches peak strength.
* Kindly note that warm water speeds the cure time, and cold water slows the process down.
* A maximum water temperature of 28 degrees Celsius is recommended.
Precautions:
- Before opening the packaging, ensure that the rolls are soft and flexible. Do not open any hard rolls under any circumstances.
- Polyurethane resin can cause damage to the skin, eyes, and hair, so it is highly recommended to avoid direct contact with the orthopedic band without protection.
